Job summary

Avets in Monroeville, PA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a part-time, on-site role. You will manage invoices, GL coding, approvals, and vendor payments while handling AR activities and basic reconciliations.

This position offers a 20-hour workweek with typical start times between 8am and noon and compensation of $22/hour, depending on experience. You will join a collaborative finance team supporting month-end close, audits, and financial reporting in a fast-paced veterinary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years in accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems; Dayforce or similar platforms a plus.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable process including invoice processing, GL coding, approvals, and timely vendor payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Process accounts receivable transactions including client payments and insurance payments.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and audit-ready documentation.
