Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, Inc. is seeking an on-site Accounts Payable Specialist to manage end-to-end accounts payable, data entry, and related financial tasks. The role reports to the Controller and supports employees, students, and vendors.

The position is part-time (approx. 27.5 hours/week), with on-site hours typical weekday 9:00-3:00, year-round, including paid holidays and time off. Experience in nonprofit or educational settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree in a related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word or Google Sheets and Docs.
• Diversity awareness and respectful interaction with a wide range of individuals.

Responsabilités

• Process accounts payable workflows end-to-end, including invoice capture, approvals, weekly check runs, and ACH payments.
• Oversee monthly credit card reconciliations and petty cash handling; train staff on expense policies.
• Perform cafeteria-related reconciliations and support families and students with transactions.
• Prepare monthly budget reports for department account holders.
• Assist Controller with month-end closing, audit prep, and internal controls enforcement.
• Identify and implement digital tools or process improvements to enhance AP efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Business Office.
