Job summary

Tecta America Commercial Roofing is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Coordinator to support accounts payable with accuracy and timeliness while maintaining positive vendor relations. This non-exempt role reports to the Accounting Manager and offers 20–24 hours per week.

Core duties include matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, processing disbursements, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining organized records in DocuWare and the accounting system.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Basic understanding of accounting, including accounts payable and general ledger.
• Strong keyboarding skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices by matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, resolving discrepancies, assigning appropriate general ledger and sales/use tax codes, and allocating costs to the correct division.
• Enter, maintain, and manage invoice and payment information within the accounting system and DocuWare, ensuring accurate records and organized documentation.
• Prepare invoices for payment, process accounts payable disbursements, and reconcile vendor statements, store accounts, receipts, and posted transactions.
• Monitor and maintain accounts payable records and workflows, including shared accounting inbox management, document routing, retrieval, filing, and follow-up on missing receipts or supporting documentation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and documentation issues, escalating exceptions to management as needed.
