Job summary

Niagara Community College is seeking a Part Time Accounting Instructor to teach various accounting courses within the Business & STEM division. The instructor will engage with students during the academic semester on campus, either on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Education or Business, with previous teaching experience preferred. The position commences in mid-January 2027 and offers compensation of $1,008 per lecture hour.

General Description

SUNY Niagara requires part-time accounting instructors to teach various accounting courses within the Business & STEM division. The instructor will teach students throughout the academic semester in person on campus during the day, on either a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule or a Tuesday/Thursday schedule. The position is for the Spring 2027 semester with a start date of mid‑January 2027. Remuneration is $1,008 per lecture hour.

Typical Work Activities
  • Teach accounting courses in the delivery format agreed upon (on campus, hybrid, blended, or online)
  • Track attendance as needed
  • Complete census reports
  • Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
  • Report grades at the conclusion of the semester
Essential Functions

Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population, speak in front of groups of people, communicate effectively with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community, develop, prepare and present information, operate computers, and physically perform the duties of the position.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and a Master’s degree in Education or Business.
