SUNY Niagara is seeking a part‑time Childhood Education instructor to teach courses in the Humanities & Social Services division. The position covers multiple modalities (in-person, Zoom, online, hyflex, hybrid) with classes on the Sanborn, NY campus and at NFCI in Niagara Falls, NY.
Responsibilities include teaching and advising students, arranging field placements, and attending meetings as needed. Requires a Master’s in Education or related field and NYS certification; college teaching
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part‑time instructor to teach childhood education courses within the Humanities & Social Services division. This position will be responsible for teaching and advising students throughout the academic year who are enrolled in the Childhood Education program. PT instructors will also attend meetings as requested.
Classes are typically three lecture hours per week and may be delivered in many formats: face‑to‑face, face‑to‑face enhanced with Zoom, asynchronous online, blended synchronous on Zoom, hyflex (face‑to‑face, synchronous Zoom, and asynchronous online), and hybrid (in‑person and online). All modalities require the instructor to be available to report to campus in person when needed. The courses are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY, and at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) in Niagara Falls, NY.
Remuneration for this position is: $1,008 per lecture hour / $903 per lab hour.
NYS Certification in grades 1–6 and/or K–2 or similar certification preferred.
