Job summary

Michigan Humane is seeking an Administrative and Accounting Associate for a part-time position in Bingham Farms, MI. You will sort and process mail, donations, deposits, and assist with invoices and receivables/payables to support daily financial operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with accounting coursework and has strong math, Excel, and attention to detail to thrive in a nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and accounting coursework preferred.
• Excellent math skills and accuracy with figures.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with MS Office and accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, batch, log, and process incoming mail including donations.
• Notify staff of donations/restricted gifts and scan checks for deposits.
• Prepare bank deposits and cash receipt entries for receivables/payables.
• Provide backup for invoices, cash receipts, and AP/AR duties.
• Inventory and order office supplies; support events as needed.
