Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Access Operations Coordinator in Houston, TX. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and provide professional customer service for our government and other clients.

This role offers flexible part-time scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, with pay at $16.97 per hour. Candidates should meet the minimum requirements and be prepared for a background check and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide customer service to airport personnel, visitors, contractors, and other authorized individuals.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit in accordance with established airport and government facility policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations and drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to airport personnel, visitors, contractors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit in accordance with established airport and government facility policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
