Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Junction City, KS. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a food and beverage location.

The role involves maintaining security records, responding calmly to incidents, and performing regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and background/drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a food and beverage production location; verify identification, visitor authorization, contractor check-in requirements, and delivery access.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
