Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Goodyear, AZ to manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and document security activity. You will provide excellent customer service while supporting a professional, visible presence in a dynamic logistics site.

The role offers flexible day/evening shifts with a pay rate of $19.17 per hour, requiring adherence to site policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen per law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain entry/exit records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles and shipments in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter; adapt to varying client site environments.
