Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer, Site Access - Unarmed, in Ladson, SC. You will provide customer service, manage access points, verify credentials, and monitor entry records to help protect the facility and its people.

Responsibilities include patrolling the site, responding to incidents, and supporting loss prevention efforts. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screens are required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/driver entry records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic at gates or entrances to support controlled access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and report observations to site leadership or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
