Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer, Site Access - Unarmed, in Ladson, SC. You will provide customer service, manage access points, verify credentials, and monitor entry records to help protect the facility and its people.

Responsibilities include patrolling the site, responding to incidents, and supporting loss prevention efforts. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screens are required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support loss prevention efforts. You will provide outstanding customer service, use computer or tablet systems to maintain access records, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. Pay Rate: $21.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 09:30 PM - 03:00 AM
• Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic at gates or entrances, including commercial vehicles, to support controlled access to the distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
