Qualifications

• Minimum NYS Security Guard License
• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Background history considered in accordance with laws
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment
• Driver license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public at a government transportation location by following security procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, manage visitor entry, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of transportation facilities, entrances, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
