Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public at a government transportation location by following security procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, manage visitor entry, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of transportation facilities, entrances, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transportation facilities, entrances, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
