Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or more.
• Guard card or security license preferred.
• State/county/city license preferred where applicable.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors in a government facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of assigned buildings and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Complete logs and incident reports accurately and timely.
