Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Badge Operations in Marion, OH. This part-time position focuses on managing site entry, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and maintaining access records at an industrial location.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, operate access control systems, and support security procedures across shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records, issue and recover temporary credentials, and report access discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
