Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Access Control in Denver, CO. You will monitor access points, perform patrols, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

The role focuses on access control, quick response to incidents, and maintaining logs. A background check and drug screen are part of the hiring process; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
