Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College is seeking a PT Academic Advisor to support students at the Tamaqua Campus and travel to Schnecksville as needed. The role partners with the Dean of Academic Support and Student Success to guide degree planning, career readiness, and persistence.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree, have two years advising experience, and be proficient with CRM systems and Degree Works. The position requires some evening hours and occasional travel.

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution required.
Two years’ advising experience at a college.
Familiarity with the mission of a comprehensive community college.
Student support CRM experience.
Act 153 clearances (Act 34, Act 151, Act 114) required.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource and advocate for a caseload of students, assisting them in academic, career, and transfer planning.
Assist students in becoming self-directed in education and career exploration.
Develop academic plans for graduation using Degree Works and CRM Advise.
Refer students to offices and services for further development and opportunities.
Manage the CRM and use data reporting to measure student support initiatives.
