Job summary

San Jacinto College seeks a PT Educational Planner to provide educational planning and academic advising for dual credit and ECHS students. You will register students, ensure prerequisites, and guide transitions to university or career, while maintaining Banner records and supporting retention initiatives.

The role requires collaboration across campuses, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from a regionally-accredited college/university.
• Strong customer service experience and ability to engage with high school students.
• Knowledge of TSI, FERPA, and related policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational planning/academic advising for dual credit and ECHS students.
• Registers students for dual credit and ECHS; ensures prerequisites and skill level compliance.
• Offers transfer and career pathway advising; guides transition to university, military or career.
• Enters student information in Banner; maintains records and updates statuses.
• Plans and conducts retention and completion activities.
• Assists with graduation applications and commencements.
• Prepares materials for student recruitment sessions and orientation.
• Assists with TSIA testing for dual credit and ECHS students at various sites.
• Collaborates with campuses to achieve annual goals.
