Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a Part-time Advisor II to serve as the first point of contact for students, providing academic advising, degree planning guidance, and enrollment support at our Conroe campus. The role involves helping students navigate program requirements, course selection, and registration while upholding campus policies and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on degree planning and course selection.
• Assist students with transfer to four-year institutions.
• Coordinate with College Relations and universities to schedule transfer events.
• Monitor and report progress for cohorts, including retention and completion rates.
• Help students develop their MEP and resumes/cover letters.
• Advise international students on immigration procedures and compliance.
