Passaic County Community College in Paterson, NJ is seeking an Academic Advising Navigator to support the Center for Student Success with retention and degree completion efforts. This part-time role responds to inquiries from students, faculty, and campus staff, and maintains confidentiality under FERPA.

You will update program materials, manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare minutes, and assist with outreach and workshops.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in related area preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
• Excellent customer service and support-oriented approaches to interaction.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, team environment.
• Ability to travel to additional PCCC locations.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Aufgaben

• Greet visitors, respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff; maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA.
• Assist with student registration and advisement information; guide students to appropriate resources.
• Train students to navigate the student portal and IT resources.
• Provide outreach to students via email, phone, video, or in-person meetings.
• Refer students to academic advisors when they deviate from plans.
• Support recruiting, enrollment, and retention events; facilitate Advising workshops.
