Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Student Personnel Services or related field.
• At least two years' experience advising/mentoring educationally underprepared students.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Canva and Adobe design tools; database management.
• Strong verbal and written communication with students, staff, families.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on academics, high school preparation, college and career exposure in individual or group settings.
• Plan, develop and coordinate activities for student participants and parents.
• Coordinate advising workshops to foster student growth and academic achievement.
• Recruit prospective students and conduct PEP sessions to determine college readiness.
• Maintain relationships with school personnel (counselors) and collect relevant student data.
• Work evenings (Tue/Thu) and Saturdays for workshops at various high school sites in Paterson.
