Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor, ABE ESL – AM – FY 2027. The pool is used to fill as-needed, temporary, non-tenure-track positions in the Las Vegas area, teaching ESL Basic Skills and civic engagement to adult learners.

Successful applicants will maintain accurate records, deliver engaging instruction, and contribute to program development in a hybrid/hands-on setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching ESL from Basic through advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL Basic Skills and/or civic engagement.
• Maintain accurate student records (syllabi, attendance, lesson plans).
• Motivate students to complete educational goals beyond basic education.
• Collaborate with colleagues on course offerings and program activities.
• Attend professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
• Use varied teaching techniques and assessments to support the program.
