Chapter One is seeking an Early Literacy Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role requires a Bachelor's degree and involves delivering 1:1 reading support to students using our structured model.

You will work Monday through Friday onsite in Maryland, earning $25.00 per hour. No prior teaching experience is required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued as you help children reach reading proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Reliable transportation and onsite availability (Mon-Fri).
• Intermediate technology skills and familiarity with basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student progress throughout the year using Chapter One's tools and assessments.
• Deliver personalized 1:1 instruction based on Chapter One's structured model.
• Document each tutoring session using Chapter One's platform.
• Assign new practice activities during each session.
• Maintain ongoing communication with managers, classroom instructors, literacy coaches, and administrators.
• Provide basic technology support for students' use of handheld devices.
• Analyze student performance data to inform instructional delivery.
