CHAPTER ONE NFP is hiring an Early Literacy Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role requires a Bachelor’s degree and entails 1:1 reading instruction using Chapter One’s structured model.

The position is onsite in California (Oxnard) with scheduled after-school hours, Monday through Friday, 3:00–5:00 PM PST. Candidates should have reliable transportation and intermediate tech skills; no prior experience is required beyond a strong attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Monitor student progress throughout the year using Chapter One's tools and assessments.
• Deliver personalized 1:1 instruction based on Chapter One's structured model.
• Document each tutoring session using Chapter One's platform.
• Assign new practice activities during each session.
• Challenge students to reach each new goal and celebrate student success.
• Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with managers, classroom instructors, literacy coaches, and administrators.
• Provide basic technology support for the students' use of handheld devices for independent practice.
• Analyze student performance data to inform instructional delivery and accelerate learning.
