Chapter One Inc in Washington, DC is seeking a Part-Time Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI) to provide 1:1 reading support to students in grades K-1. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, reliable transportation, and availability Monday through Friday during the school day, with on-site work in DC.

You will use Chapter One's structured instructional model, document sessions in the platform, monitor progress, and collaborate with literacy coaches and administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year institution
• Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches and data organization
• Demonstrated knowledge of office equipment and computer skills such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, or similar programs
• Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills
• Professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Must have transportation and ability to work onsite Monday-Friday with flexible hours
• Intermediate computer and software skills
• Must pass Chapter One and District required background checks

Responsabilités

• Monitor student progress throughout the year using Chapter One's tools and assessments.
• Deliver personalized 1:1 instruction based on Chapter One's structured model.
• Document each tutoring session using Chapter One's platform.
• Assign new practice activities during each session
• Challenge students to reach each new goal and celebrate student success.
• Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with managers, classroom instructors, literacy coaches, and administrators.
• Provide basic technology support for the students' use of handheld devices for independent practice.
• Analyze student performance data to inform instructional delivery and accelerate learning
