Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Technician for a school-based role in Westchester County, NY. This part-time position follows the school calendar, offering 25–32 hours per week with daytime shifts.

You will collaborate with teachers, TAs, school staff and a clinical supervisor to support students with special needs in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months experience with children or adolescents with special needs, a High School Diploma,

• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis, and in a professional manner.
• Work closely with school personnel to ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
• Collaborate with a behavior consultant to provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support to students with special needs.
• Assist with classroom assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Implement behavior support plans or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting).
• Help with daily living tasks and transitions.
• Escort the student to different locations (bathroom, cafeteria, therapy sessions).
• Maintain confidentiality of student information per state and federal regulations.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
