Job summary

Colorado Department of Corrections seeks a parole re-entry specialist to provide comprehensive pre-release services for inmates transitioning back to the community. You will collaborate with internal staff and external partners to develop and monitor transitional release plans, ensuring access to community resources and housing where needed.

Qualifications

• Significant interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Strong written and oral communication in English essential.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct meetings with inmates within six months of release to assess needs.
• Develop transitional release plans with the inmate and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress of transition plans and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate release planning with internal and external partners.
• Use evidence-based practices to support motivation for change.
• Assist offenders with accessing community services and housing/employment.
