Job summary

Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated professional to assist offenders in preparing for employment prior to release, including counseling, placement, and programming. You will work with the DORS team at institutions, collaborating closely with classification staff and parole officers.

The role involves facilitating employability programs, assessing barriers to employment, and coordinating with state agencies and employers to support successful reentry into the community.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of technical or professional experience in social services, education, workforce development, probation and parole casework, or corrections.
• Experience at the level of Correctional Lieutenant or above, or equivalent in guidance and counseling, health, or law enforcement.
• Earned college credits may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the listed experience (30 hours per year).
