Job summary

The City of Richmond's Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities seeks a Maintenance Technician (Trails) to maintain and repair parks, equipment, and facilities across the City of Richmond.

Under the guidance of the Labor Crew Chief and Tech Senior, you will operate light and heavy equipment, perform repairs, keep records and inventory, and help ensure safe handling of hazardous materials while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or specialized vocational training.
• Two years of maintenance experience related to assignment.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair City of Richmond parks, equipment, and facilities.
• Provide maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and parts.
• Operate assigned light and heavy equipment, machinery, or shop equipment.
• Maintain records and inventory; recommend equipment purchases.
