Job summary

City of Richmond's Department of Parks Recreation and Community Facilities seeks a Maintenance Technician (Trails) to maintain parks and trails, and perform repairs with skilled labor and technical work.

The role reports to the Labor Crew Chief and Tech Senior, performing repairs, operating equipment, maintaining records, and assisting with park guest guidance in a municipal environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or specialized vocational training.
• Two years of maintenance experience related to assignment.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be used to meet qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, power and hand tools.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and facilities.
• Maintain records and inventory; prepare reports and work orders.
• Assist park guests with information and guidance; support other trades as needed.
