Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks & Recreation, Landscaping, Horticulture or related discipline.
• Two years of park or facilities management experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, but must include one year of supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
• Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
• Assists in budget preparation and monitors and controls expenditures.
• Interprets, explains and enforces regulations, policies and procedures and renders decisions.
• Enforces safety procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment and employee safety.
• Plans, organizes and evaluates grounds and facilities maintenance programs and operations for compliance to standards and regulations, and recommends modifications and improvements.
• Coordinates projects and activities with departments and contractors.
• Prepares and submits bid specifications and bid requests, and recommends procurement of materials, equipment, supplies and services.
• Performs related work as assigned.
