Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Leisure Services, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• 2 years minimum supervisory experience.
• 2 years minimum experience with conducting or overseeing programming for community.
• CPR/AED required within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and promote a broad range of recreation programs, services, and events.
• Oversee daily facility operations at Laurel Park, Nokomis Community Park, and Venice Train Depot.
• Coordinate facility reservations, rentals, and shared use for maximum access.
• Maintain relationships with community organizations and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with county policies and accreditations.
