Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to oversee diverse Parks and Recreation programs, facilities and events under direction of a department supervisor. You will assist with planning, organizing and implementing recreation programs to engage the community.

Responsibilities include welcoming the public, ensuring safe use of equipment, supervising patrons, inspecting gear, enforcing rules, and coordinating with staff, schools and partners. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or currently attending high school.
• Sixteen (16) years of age or older.
• Texas Driver’s License.
• Experience working with youth and people from diverse backgrounds.
• Available to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work with general direction and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the public and serve customers.
• Ensure and instruct patrons in the proper use of equipment and facilities.
• Provide safety measures and supervision during activities.
• Inspect equipment daily and report repairs as needed.
• Teach and enforce rules; conduct disciplinary procedures as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned and coordinate with partners.
