Job summary

Qualifications

• Administrative principles and practices including goal setting, program development, implementation and evaluation.
• Principles and practices of budget development and administration.
• Principles and practices of employee supervision, including work planning, assignment review and evaluation.
• Applicable laws, rules, regulations relevant to areas of responsibility.
• Principles and practices of grant writing and management.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreational programs for all ages.
• Manages development and implementation of goals, objectives, and policies for department functions.
• Oversees and inspects work of vendors and contractors to ensure compliance.
• Prepares, reviews, and completes department reports and correspondence.
• Represents the department in meetings with other City departments and outside agencies.
