Job summary

The City of Malibu is seeking a Parks Supervisor to oversee parks and landscape maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role focuses on community stewardship and effective operation of municipal parks and facilities.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible parks maintenance experience.
• Two years of lead or supervisory experience in park maintenance.
• Knowledge of budgeting, contracting, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and review work plans for assigned programs.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and contracted workers to deliver park services.
• Monitor expenditures against approved budgets and allocate resources.
• Develop maintenance programs for parks, landscapes, trails, and facilities.
• Prepare reports and provide professional advice to leadership.
