Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Parks Maintenance Supervisor to oversee mowing and landscape crews, ensuring safe, well-maintained parks, trails, and athletic facilities. The role involves coordinating bids, budgets, and scheduling with the Parks Manager and interdepartmental liaisons.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in mowing/irrigation, strong safety knowledge, and a valid Texas driver's license. This position requires occasional extended hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise and train staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Power BI, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with Cityworks or similar work order systems.
• Knowledge of large-scale mowing, landscaping and irrigation operations.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Mowing Crew Leader and the Landscape Crew Leader.
• Oversee mowing and tree contracts; assist with bid specifications.
• Assist with budget and CIP requests for mowing and landscape crews.
• Prepare bid specifications and read maps/plans as needed.
• Prepare monthly and annual cost reports for crews.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and coordinate with departments.
• Oversee herbicide and pesticide application on City property.
