Job summary

The City of Malibu seeks a highly organized Management Analyst to provide administrative, programmatic, budgetary, grant and workflow support for the Public Works Department. The role requires collaboration with staff, lobbyists, and officials to improve processes and governance.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, detail‑oriented, and capable of leading project initiatives while growing into organizational leadership. A bachelor’s degree and a CA driver license are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, budgetary, operational or program management experience.
• Valid California class C driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Coordinates and oversees administrative, budgeting, and fiscal reporting activities.
• Plans and conducts management studies and prepares clear reports.
• Maintains accurate records and files in hard copy and digital formats.
• Works with contract consultants on projects and bid processes.
• Represents the department in meetings with community groups and the public.
