Job summary

Brookline Parks and Open Spaces seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily maintenance, operations, and long-term care of the Town's parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, cemeteries, school grounds, sanctuaries, and public landscapes. • Associate or bachelor's degree in parks management, forestry, horticulture, environmental studies, engineering, or related field.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible parks or facility management experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience with municipal operations familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and maintenance of parks, fields, cemeteries, and public grounds.
• Develops maintenance and asset management plans; ensures safe, efficient operations.
• Supervises staff and contractors; handles hiring, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Monitors budgets, procurement, and compliance with procedures.
• Coordinates snow/ice control and emergency response for town properties.
