Job summary

Eddy is seeking a Parks Manager to lead maintenance and improvement of city parks, fields, trails, and facilities. You will work hands-on with the crew, operate equipment, and supervise a growing team to keep parks safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

The role requires managing schedules, budgets, safety, and long-term projects, while coordinating with staff, city officials, and community groups to support park programs and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Parks and Recreation Management or related field.
• Minimum five years in parks/landscaping/public works or related field.
• Two years of supervisory experience and staff development.
• Experience budgeting, equipment and maintenance scheduling preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL B or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance, repair, and improvement of city parks and facilities.
• Lead and train full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff.
• Plan daily/weekly work schedules and supervise projects.
• Operates and trains others on park maintenance equipment.
• Oversee irrigation, landscaping, and turf management.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct inspections.
