Job summary

The City of Savage is seeking a full-time Maintenance Operator in the Parks Division to maintain parks, ballfields and open spaces for residents and the public. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., with on-call responses for snow and ice operations in evenings, weekends and holidays. A high school diploma and three years of related experience are required, plus a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and air-brakes restrictions removed within one year of hire; Class B

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least three years of related maintenance experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and no air-brakes restriction within one year of hire; Class B license at application time.

Job description

The City of Savage is now accepting applications for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Operator position in the Parks Division. Parks Maintenance Operators work individually and as part of a team to effectively and efficiently maintain the City's parks, ballfields and open spaces for the safe use and enjoyment of Savage residents and the general public.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., however the position also requires response to call-ins on evenings, weekends and holidays for snow and ice operations.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of related experience. Position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with tanker endorsement and no restriction on air brakes, within one year of hire and for duration of employment. (Must have at least a valid Class B license at time of application.)
