Job summary

Prince William County Government is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of grounds maintenance for parks and properties. You will manage a crew of 8–13 staff, lead by example, and ensure operations meet all policies and safety standards.

The role involves field and office work, training and mentoring staff, and estimating materials. A valid driver’s license is required, with a 7-day per week schedule and potential after-hours duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of related maintenance supervision experience.
• Experience supervising or leading grounds maintenance operations is preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to meet driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and complete grounds maintenance for parks and properties.
• Supervise crew of 8-13 staff in a 7 day per week operation.
• Ensure compliance with agency, local, state, and federal policies/rules/regulations.
• Train, coach, and mentor staff for turf, landscaping, irrigation, and equipment.
