Job summary

Cities, Inc. is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Worker to help maintain city parks, athletic fields, and related facilities in our area. The role includes operating equipment and performing routine upkeep to ensure safe, well-kept spaces for the public.

You will assist with irrigation, cleaning, and minor repairs, and you may work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by weather and events. This position emphasizes safety and reliable service for community spaces.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of park grounds maintenance principles.
• Knowledge of athletic field maintenance principles.
• Skill in use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Participates in maintenance of city parks, athletic fields, and related facilities; prepares athletic fields for play.
• Operates grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems.
• Opens and closes facilities and sets up for rentals and events.
• Inspects and repairs playground equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment and tools.
