Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Parking Services Representative to support cashiering, permit sales, and records management within Parking and Transportation Services on the Austin campus.

You will handle payments, conduct audits, prepare routine reports, and respond to complex policy questions from customers while supervising student cashiers and ensuring accurate cash drawers. This role requires reliable transportation and a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • Four years of cashier experience in a large-scale operation.
  • Four years of experience with large-scale receipt, disbursement, and cash recording.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and clerical functions.
  • Experience in team service roles and excellent customer service.
  • Experience completing reports, maintaining database records, and filing.
  • Class C driver’s license and a current 3-year driving record; Texas license within 30 days of residency.

Overview

Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) manages campus access, mobility, and related services through customer‑focused policies. The Parking Services Representative assists in the receipt, disbursement, and accountability of university funds and answers complex queries about university policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience gained in a university department or large‑scale parking environment.
Compensation

Base salary of $41,600 plus a 15% shift differential. Overtime is paid.

Working Conditions
  • Standard office conditions with potential exposure to all weather and extreme temperatures.
  • Use of manual dexterity, climbing stairs, driving vehicles or carts, lifting, and moving.
  • Uniforms and personal protective equipment will be furnished as needed.
  • Shift: Saturday through Wednesday, Overnight 12:00AM – 8:30AM.
