Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Parking Attendant in Boston to help run daily parking operations, assist customers, and maintain a positive professional image.

Responsibilities include customer service, facilities upkeep, safety compliance, and reporting incidents. The role requires a high school diploma minimum and a valid driver’s license. Schedule Friday–Tuesday, 8:00am–2:00pm; pay is $21 per hour with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Minimal high school diploma or equivalent and minimal month-related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Oral Communication: Speaks clearly; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
• Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
• Customer Service: Maintains positive attitude. Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Judgment: Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
• License Requirement: Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record if driving a company vehicle.
• Physical Demands: Sit, stand, walk, use hands, lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of a location ensuring parking operations are within contractual guidelines and company policies.
• Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with management duties as assigned.
• Courteously assist customers.
• Maintain and repair parking equipment and handle general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents, violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Assist with cleanup of debris, spills, etc.
• Have thorough knowledge of garage areas and major local streets.
