Job summary

The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Parking Meter Management Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance our electronic parking meter software and related GIS data. You will oversee system configurations, user access, and rate changes, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues and implement updates.

You will analyze data to optimize parking operations, maintain inventory logs, and support the GIS platform for real-time meter location information.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field is required.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in operation, maintenance, and updating parking meter management software systems.
• Valid State of Florida Driver's license with acceptable driving record within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains parking technology platforms and related applications; manages configurations, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Diagnoses and resolves application issues with platform vendors and software suppliers; coordinates updates and rate configurations.
• Researches data to identify efficient methods and provides reports on collected data.
• Maintains records of system configurations, device inventory, and parking space data across platforms.
• Utilizes analytical data to survey City-owned parking areas and maps spaces via GIS.
• Supports GIS database development and deployment for real-time data on meters and locations.
• Provides weekend revenue and fuel reports for parking services.
• Troubleshoots IoT devices, iPads, and iPhones used in parking operations and documents data.
