The City of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Parking Meter Management Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance our electronic parking meter software and related GIS data. You will oversee system configurations, user access, and rate changes, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues and implement updates.
You will analyze data to optimize parking operations, maintain inventory logs, and support the GIS platform for real-time meter location information.

Maintains and updates the electronic parking meter management software systems. Assists in the design of the system's database structures; assists in the organizational development of parking services and reports on data. Maintains cities Master Meter Inventory and Parking Space Inventory.

Administers and maintains a variety of parking technology platforms and internally developed departmental applications; manages system configurations, user accounts, and access permissions for a user under the direction of management.
Diagnoses and resolves application issues in cooperation with platform vendors and software suppliers; escalates unresolved issues to senior staff as appropriate; coordinates routine updates, parking rate changes, and special event parking rate configurations
Researches data to find the most efficient productive method in the applications of parking meter operations; provides reports on various collected data
Maintains accurate records of system configurations, device inventory, user assignments, and parking space data across multiple platforms
Knowledge of Geographical Information System (GIS), mechanical and electronic parking equipment, and Mobile payment systems.
As public servants, employees may be required to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency. All employees must be available and able to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Heads.
The position involves medium physical demands, such as exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, walk, push, pull, grasp, stand and access heights or areas where limited space is available. May perform occasional outside work for site visits.
