Mohawk Mountain Ski Area Inc. is seeking a Parking Lot Attendant for weekends and holidays, part-time role with outdoor duties and customer-facing responsibilities. The primary duty is to safely park vehicles in organized rows and guide guests to rentals, ticketing, and other facilities.

Shifts run roughly 7:45am to 2pm–4pm, mostly outdoors; required are good footwear, warm clothing, and strong customer service. Benefits include mountain perks such as free skiing and on-site meals.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Must be able to direct traffic flow as well as foot traffic in the parking lot.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

• Must be able to follow directions and remember layouts for parking configurations.
• Must enforce all parking rules and maintain communication with Mountain Operations Managment.
• Perform all duties as directed by Mountain Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Description

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area is currently seeking applicants for Parking Lot Staff. The main goal of the parking lot attendant is to safely park customers vehicles evenly in rows to maximize the usable space in the parking lot and maintain roadways and fire lanes to structures. They are the first line of staff that the customer encounters and are responsible for setting the tone of the day with positivity and a willingness to help direct customers to the appropriate location (rentals, ticketing, retail shop, cafeteria, snowsports, etc.)

The shifts are primarily weekends and holidays, from approximately 7:45a to 2p-4p.

The majority of the shift is spent outdoors and on your feet, adequate footwear and warm clothing are a must for this position.

Parking staff is also responsible for assisting with mountain opening, including shoveling walkways, salting, and placing directional markers in the lot as well as any other task as directed by the Mountain Operations Manager.
