Job summary

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, Inc. in Cornwall, CT is seeking an Expeditor in the Rental Shop to assist guests with boot sizing and gear while delivering friendly service.

You will help with ski poles, helmets and provide mountain information, training, and support to the Rentals team. Availability October through March and holidays/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Enthusiastic, friendly demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Perform simple arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Neat and legible handwriting.
• Days, nights and weekend hours available; wars holidays including Oct-Mar.

Responsibilities

• Fit customers with ski/snowboard boots, helmets and poles.
• Provide information about the mountain and directions for guests.
• Assist with on-site promotional activities as needed.
• Restock brochures and collateral materials; follow telephone procedures.
• Work under the Rental/Retail Manager and Shop Floor Supervisor.

Description

Mohawk Mountain is currently recruiting for Expeditors in the Rental Shop. Expeditors provide an invaluable service to Mohawk Mountain guests, by professionally and competently fitting them in equipment while simultaneously welcoming them, and providing them with information and service to guarantee an excellent experience.

Expeditors assist guests with ski and snowboard boot sizing from Mohawk Mountain’s daily and seasonal rental fleets. Guests also receive assistance from Expeditors with ski poles, helmets, and basic mountain information. Familiarity with the location and description of each level of equipment will be expected and each Expeditor will be trained to successfully fit our customers.

In addition, or as needed or directed by Manager and/or Supervisor: snow/ice removal, light replacement, vacuuming, trash removal, lodge table arrangement, and clean up. Restock brochures and collateral materials. Follow telephone procedure and operation. Customer service for questions, and directions. Train additional employees as needed.Assistance with on-site promotional activities. Any and all work directed by the Rental/Retail Manager and/or Shop Floor Supervisor.

Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides communication with other staff, customers and Rental/Retail manager

• Able to fit customers with ski or snowboard boots, helmets and poles correctly

• Give information about the Mountain and where to direct Customers for more information

• Able to follow through on assigned projects and directions given by Manager and/or Supervisor

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
