Job summary

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, Inc. is seeking a Cashier - Food Service for the season. You will operate a computer-based cash register in a cafeteria setting and handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions.

Requirements include basic math, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Must be willing to work varied weekly hours depending on weather and holidays. This is a full-time/part-time seasonal position with several shift options.

Description

Will operate and be responsible for the contents of a computer-based cash register in a cafeteria setting.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Count and sign out a cash drawer at start of shift.
• Complete cash/credit/gift card transactions efficiently.
• Assess currency/credit cards for signs of fraud.
• Greet customers and thank them for their business.
• Navigate cash register computer program.
• Provide an accurate report of sales/discrepancies at close of shift.
• Monitor use of employee discounts.
• Complete any other duties assigned.

• Must be able follow a series of safety protocols.
• Must have reliable transportation.
