Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking an Enforcement Officer to monitor streets, lots, and campuses in North Bergen, NJ, ensuring parking policy compliance. The role involves customer service, issuing citations, and supporting parking operations.

This is an on-site, hourly position with varying shifts, including weekends. Ideal candidates are 18+ with driving ability, knowledge of local parking rules, and the stamina to walk long periods in all weather.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geography of the enforcement area.
• Ability to provide courteous customer service.
• Ability to drive a motorized vehicle.
• Ability to operate a handheld device for tickets.
• Ability to walk and work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets, lots, garages to enforce parking policies.
• Provide directions and answer questions from the public.
• Issue citations or warnings and manage impounds as directed.
• Work independently with tact and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance with parking equipment and facility upkeep.
• Assist in collection of parking revenues and fees.
• Aid event staff with parking logistics for events.
• Assist with permit sales and related data entry.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Note: Officers are not sworn police and have no arrest authority.
